There are still so many people who could not go through even a day without drinking sodas. The average American drinks about 57 gallons of soft drinks each year. These soft drinks does have such a delicious fresh taste especially when we drink it while it chilled or at room temperature. The taste could be one thing that gets us addicted to it. In fact, it is so good, that many people drink it with every meal! But, you might wanna think about it if you want to start drinking soda again because the researchers say that the phosphate which is added to these drinks to provide a sharp-burning sensation, is actually can accelerate the aging process.
It is said that the minerals, which also added to processed meats, cakes, and breads, can make our skin and muscles dry out, and also can damage the heart and kidneys. The study, published in the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology Journal (FASEB), indicates that the balance of phosphorus affects the aging process. Researchers have examined the effects of high phosphate content in the three groups of mice. Groups who consume foods with high phosphate content can live 8-15 weeks. While the group who ate a lower phosphate could reach 20 weeks of age.
